THE END

Make sure to post your documerical by Thursday, May 3rd, so that I can give you your final two grades.  If you have any problems, be sure to let me know.

We will meet for grades on Tuesday, May 8th from 10-11:30 in Room W105 (I will also be in C105 from 12:30-2pm on May 8th, if you need to see me).  It will be first come, first served.  If you don't come, you don't get a say in your course grade.

Finally, I believe that it is every student's right to review their instuctors' performances on Rate My Professor.  Free free to rate me and all your instructors, and be honest about your assessment.

For March 27th

No reading for this week.  We only have about a month left before the course ends, so I want you to work on what you need to complete for the course:

1) Continue working on blog posts.
2) Write the into and conclusion for your paper and post it so I can give you some feedback
3) Start to think about what you want to do for your documercial.  Fill out the storyboard for Tuesday, April 3 so we can discuss it.

Remember, this is not an easy course.  There is work that you have to complete ALL the time in order to get a decent grade.  If you slack off now, you will get into BIG TROUBLE at the end of the course.

Next week, we'll take a break from content and will watch Religilous, Bill Maher's contrversial film attacking organized religion.  We'll see how Maher uses all the techniques of rhetoric to make his case.  I don't expect you to agree with his position, but I do expect you to understand the rhetroical methods that he uses.

For the Week of 3/20

I hope that all of you enjoyed your Spring break.  Now it's time to get back to work!

For Tuesday 3/20, read pages 141-150.  Remember, when we get around to doing your paper, you will need to follow the format laid out in these sections on rhetorical arrangement.

By the end of this week, you should have the following done:

1)  5 blog posts should be complete (including your commericial, if you chose to do one).

2) Your page of annotated links should be done.

3) Your two ads should be done.

4) You should be starting to think about your documerical.  We'll chat more about this on Tuesday.

If you've done all this, you are in fine shape.  If you haven't now is the time to get cooking!

See you all on Tueday!

Mike
